WAA design a birthday cake for the 50th MARK

To celebrate the the 50th issue of MARK–an avant-garde magazine that covers the world of contemporary architecture–WAA designed a birthday cake for the publication, which is featured in its June/July 2014 issue. The cake is composed 50 cubes of various dimensions, and topped with a multi-faceted 'candle' that–when viewed from any nearly any angle–displays the number '50'. Published alongside the cake are its plan, section, and elevation, as well as the WAA designed espresso cups and cutlery, both of which are produced by Alessi, and the latter of which launched in spring 2014. The issue will be on newsstands from June 1st.
